Alcatel announces 3 new Android phones: Idol, Idol Ultra, and Scribe HD

Today saw the unveiling of the Idol, the Idol Ultra, and the 5″ Scribe HD. The Idol comes in claiming to be the lightest device in its category, weighing only 110 grams. It comes with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 4.7 inch IPS display, an 8MP rear camera coupled to a 2MP front camera and comes running Jelly Bean (although we don't have specifics on whether that's 4.1 or 4.2). Going up a notch is the Idol Ultra, and is claiming to be – wait for it – the thinnest smartphone in the world at just 6.45mm, but still complete with a 1.2GHz dual core CPU, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, a 4.7″ display (HD AMOLED), and Android Jelly Bean. Last but not least, we find the Scribe HD.
